Our recent participation at the Codissia Food and Drink Processing Expo in Coimbatore was a valuable experience for Team FoodTraze. The event provided an energetic and interactive environment where we showcased our food traceability platform and connected with a wide spectrum of people in the food and agri-tech space.

We had the opportunity to engage with manufacturers, processors, farmers, and agri-based entrepreneurs who were genuinely curious about how technology can bring more transparency and responsibility into the food supply chain.

Showcasing Traceability Across Everyday Food Products

Throughout the three-day event, our stall attracted steady interest from visitors eager to experience how traceability works in real time. With hands-on demos and clear walkthroughs, we showed how FoodTraze captures and connects every stage in the journey of food — from the farm to the final product.

For dairy and beverages, we demonstrated how data is recorded from milk collection at the farm, followed by chilling, processing, and conversion into curd or fresh juice. This gave visitors a clear view of how freshness and quality are maintained at each step.

For pulses and rice, we presented the full cycle — starting from seed selection and field preparation to crop monitoring, harvesting, drying, and packaging. Visitors saw how each activity is logged and linked to provide full transparency.

For spices, we showcased key traceability points such as cultivation methods, soil health inputs, sun-drying techniques, lab testing outcomes, and hygiene protocols during packing. Each detail helps ensure both quality and safety.

These demonstrations helped visitors understand how everyday products can carry a verifiable story, backed by data and built on trust.

Tracking for Carbon Credit Readiness

Many visitors were keen to understand how knowing the journey of food could help in making more climate-conscious decisions. We explained how FoodTraze helps businesses track agricultural practices, input usage, and post-harvest processes, creating reliable data that can support carbon credit validation and reporting.

Learning from Stakeholders on the Ground

Apart from demonstrations, the event gave us the opportunity to listen. Conversations with manufacturers, exporters, and farmers helped us understand their expectations and the gaps they currently face in building trust with their end customers. Many shared their interest in adopting a platform like FoodTraze not just for compliance, but to add value to their products by offering transparency.

Moving Forward with Purpose

Codissia 2025 was a meaningful experience for Team FoodTraze. It gave us a chance to connect, listen, and share our vision with people who care about where their food comes from.

We came away with fresh insights, valuable connections, and a stronger belief that traceability is not just useful but essential for the future of food.
